These Terms & Conditions govern use of this website and general business interactions with Loxley Manuscript. They apply in addition to any written project proposal, statement of work, invoice terms, or other project-specific agreement. If a project-specific written agreement conflicts with these Terms & Conditions, the project-specific agreement controls for that project.

1. Website Use

You may use this website to review information about services and submit legitimate business or creative-project inquiries. You may not attempt to interfere with the website, submit malicious code, misuse forms, impersonate another person, or use website content in a way that violates law or third-party rights.

2. Service Inquiries and Quotes

Website descriptions and starting prices are general information only and do not constitute a binding offer. Final pricing depends on source volume, requested deliverables, complexity, interview count, research depth, project schedule, revision scope, and other relevant factors. A project begins only after scope, pricing, and any required payment terms are confirmed.

3. Client Responsibilities

• Provide accurate project information and timely access to necessary source material.
• Confirm that materials supplied to us may lawfully be used for the project.
• Identify confidential, restricted, or sensitive material before work begins.
• Review drafts and provide consolidated feedback within agreed timeframes.
• Verify factual claims, names, dates, quotations, legal assertions, and regulated statements before publication.

4. Timelines

Project timelines are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise in writing. Delays in source delivery, approvals, interviews, feedback, third-party access, or material changes in scope may result in revised schedules.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees are stated in the applicable quote or project agreement. Deposits, staged payments, or full advance payment may be required depending on scope. Additional work requested beyond the agreed scope may require a new estimate or written approval of additional charges.

6. Revisions

Included revisions are limited to the number or scope stated in the project agreement. Revision requests should relate to the approved project brief. New direction, new source material, major restructuring after approval, or additional deliverables may be treated as additional work.

7. Accuracy and Editorial Judgment

We work from information made available by the client and cannot independently guarantee every factual statement unless fact-checking is expressly included. Editorial recommendations reflect professional judgment but do not guarantee publication, audience response, sales, funding, ranking, media coverage, or other commercial results.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability arising from a specific paid project will not exceed the amount actually paid for the portion of services giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is prohibited by law. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or speculative losses.

9. Governing Framework

These Terms are intended to operate under applicable laws of the State of Montana and applicable federal law, subject to any mandatory consumer or jurisdictional rules that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. Changes

These Terms may be updated as services or website practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
